On Dec. 14 celebrity cook and TV personality Rachael Ray will present a program sponsored by the Rocky River Public Library and Joseph-Beth Booksellers at 7 p.m. at Rocky River High School auditorium. Doors will open at 6 p.m. Ray, bestselling author and host of such Food Network shows as “30 Minute Meals,” will talk about her new cookbook “Week in a Day,” which dishes up tips about how to make a week’s worth of meals in one evening.
Tickets are required for the event and are free with the purchase of the book for $24.99 plus tax from Joseph-Beth Booksellers, which is donating a percentage of all sales to the library. Those who buy multiple copies as gifts can bring a guest for each additional book purchased.
Orders may be placed by calling 216-444-1700. Tickets can be picked up at the high school the day of the presentation or at Joseph-Beth Booksellers, Cleveland Clinic, 9500 Euclid Ave. Books and tickets can also be purchased directly at the bookstore or at the high school.
Rocky River Public Library marketing Director Kitty Sommers commented that the library had developed a working relationship with Joseph-Beth Booksellers by hosting another featured author during the summer. So, when the company was looking for a West Side venue for Ray’s presentation, representatives chose Rocky River.
Ray will presign the books, which will be available at the event check-in. Event tickets will be required for admission, and organizers said there will be no exceptions.
