Westshore high school 2012 OHSAA baseball and softball district tourney schedules

BASEBALL

Division I:

Olmsted Falls (5-17, 3-8) opens at home tonight against North Ridgeville at 4:30 p.m. The winner will play at No. 1 seed Avon tomorrow at 4:30 p.m.

North Olmsted (12-12, 3-8) opens at Lakewood (14-10, 6-4) tonight at 4:30 p.m. The winner will play at No. 2 seed Westlake (16-6, 8-4) tomorrow at 4:30 p.m.

Division II:

Rocky River (12-9, 6-6) will open at home on Friday at 4:30 p.m., against the winner of the game between Benedictine and John Hay high schools.

Fairview (8-16, 4-9) opens at Holy Name on Friday at 4:30 p.m.

Bay (6-16, 5-7) opens at home on Friday at 4:30 p.m. against the winner of the game between Padua and Warrensville Heights high schools.

Division III:

Lutheran West (5-11, 4-9) opened the tournament against Garfield Heights on Monday night. The winner went on to play at No. 2 seed Clearview yesterday. The winner of Tuesday’s matchup will play in the district semifinal game at Tri-C West at 4 p.m. on Monday.

SOFTBALL

Division I:

Olmsted Falls (5-16, 2-13) opened tourament play against Lorain Monday night. The winner of that game went on to play against No. 1 seed Elyria last night. The winner of that game will move on to play in the district semifinals at North Ridgeville High School at 4 p.m. on Monday.

North Olmsted (11-13, 4-9) opened against Avon Monday night. The winner of that game played against No. 4 seed Avon Lake last night. The winner of that game will play in the district semifinals at North Ridgeville High School at 4 p.m. on Monday.

Magnificat (7-14) opened against Amherst last night. The winner of that game will play in the district semifinals at North Ridgeville High School at 6 p.m. on Monday.

No. 3 seed Westlake (12-8, 9-4) played last night against the winner of the game between Midview and North Ridgeville high schools. The winner of that game will play in the district semifinals at North Ridgeville High School at 6 p.m. on Monday.

Division II:

Rocky River (2-19, 0-12) opened against Brookside last night. The winner of that game plays tonight against No. 1 seed Keystone at LaGrange Community Park at 4:30 p.m.

Bay (11-13, 5-7) will play the winner of the game between Holy Name and Padua high schools tonight at home at 4:30 p.m.

Fairview (6-15, 5-8) opens play tonight at Clearview at 4:30 p.m.

Division III:

Lutheran West (3-13, 1-9) opens play tonight at Columbia at 4:30 p.m.
