Westlake Relay For Life set for Saturday, Sunday

The annual Westlake Relay For Life fundraiser benefiting the American Cancer Society takes place Saturday and Sunday at the athletic track at Westlake High School, 27830 Hilliard Blvd.

According to the event’s website, activities begin at noon Saturday and conclude at 8 a.m. Sunday.

The survivors’ luncheon, sponsored by the North Olmsted Chick-fil-A and Mitchell’s Ice Cream, takes place at 11:30 a.m. Saturday in the gym at Westlake High School. The opening ceremonies will be at 1 p.m. and feature Michael Hudec as guest speaker.

Members of the Westlake Board of Education have volunteered to be victims in the dunk tank: Board Vice President Carol Winter at 1:30 p.m., President Tom Mays at 2, and member Tim Sullivan at 3. Westlake High School Principal Tim Freeman will be in the dunk tank at 4 p.m.
