A Westlake High School graduate attending Miami University was found unresponsive in a dorm room at the Oxford campus Sunday and died later that day.
Jaclyn Wulf, 19, was discovered by friends and taken to McCullough-Hyde Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Wulf, a sophomore, was a psychology major and member of the Alpha Xi Delta sorority, according to Cincinnati.com.
Miami University students were informed of her death Sunday in an intranet message from Mike Curme, the interim dean of students.
“The thoughts and prayers of our entire community are with Jaclyn’s family, friends and loved ones,” Curme said. “Miami is offering counseling support to friends of Jaclyn’s.
“We are terribly saddened by the death of sophomore Jaclyn Wulf,” Miami University President David Hodge said in a Tweet Monday morning. “Our deepest sympathies go out to her family and friends in their grief.”
The Butler County Coroner’s officer is investigating the cause of her death, Cincinnati.com reported. Toxicology test results will likely take weeks, said Claire Wagner, the director of university news and communications at Miami University.
