A water main break has closed the Rocky River Municipal court today.
According to Rocky River Safety Service Director Jim Linden, a water line at the northwest corner of Hilliard and Wagar Roads, just outside of City Hall, broke early in the morning, disrupting service to the City Hall Campus and the Rocky River Municipal Court.
Water service was restored within a few hours, but the court was closed for the day. Proceedings will resume tomorrow, and today’s cases will be rescheduled.
Because of the mild temperatures, Linden said there were not many pipe breaks this winter. The record was 108 breaks. “They just break, sometimes we don’t really know why,” he said.
