Both the boys and girls track and field teams of Fairview High School are 5-0 to start the season.

The tri-meet against Brooklyn and Oberlin last Wednesday was not as challenging as it could have been, with the two visiting schools not fielding complete teams.

The Fairview boys team ran away with the meet by a score of 138 to 21 (Brooklyn) and 8 (Oberlin). The Warriors took first place in all events except the long jump and the shot put – placing second through fourth in those events – and swept the scoring in the 100 meter, 400 meter, 800 meter, 3200 meter, high jump and pole vault events.

The girls team won the meet by the score of 106 to 27 (Brooklyn) and 16 (Oberlin). They won every event except the discus – placing second through fourth. The Warriors swept the 100 meter hurdles, 1600 meter, 300 low hurdles and 3200 meter events.

Fairview will host Lutheran West and Brooklyn tonight at 4:30 p.m. in a warm-up to the Warrior Relays, to be held at 4 p.m. Friday at Fairview High School.
