Democrats must focus on issues, organization, new chairman says

The Ohio Democratic Party can recover from its disastrous showing in statewide elections this past fall, and it new chairman, David Pepper, said he has a plan to do so. Pepper shared his plan with the Westlake Democratic Club at its Jan. 20 meeting at the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 25.

Murder suspect found dead at Red Rood Inn

The tragic chain of events apparently began shortly before 1 a.m. Sunday when police received a call of possible gunshots on Eldred Avenue in Lakewood. Responding officers found the victim, 49-year-old Charles W. Junke, of Fairview Park, in the driver’s seat of a minivan. He had been shot twice in the shoulder and face.
