NASA’s Glenn Research Center will offer public tours of several of its laboratories and other facilities in the coming months. The one-hour tours are offered one Saturday a month from April through October and are free of charge for groups and individuals. The Glenn scientists and engineers who work on cutting-edge technologies in aeronautics and space flight will be available to talk with visitors during the tours.
Under President Barack Obama’s budget request, the Glenn Research Cneter’s overall budget would grow, from $567.2 million in fiscal year 2014 to $587.7 million for the fiscal year that begins Oct. 1. That’s an increase of 3.6 percent. Only one other NASA center is slated to receive more money is the coming fiscal year under the Obama budget.
