Senior residence director indicted on 19 counts

Christina Melaragno, 41, was indicted Tuesday by a Cuyahoga County grand jury on six county of burglary, six counts of theft, six counts of drug possession and one count of trafficking. The grand jury also indicted her on one count of possession of criminal tools for allegedly using a cell phone related to the trafficking charge. All counts are felony-level charges.

Porter introducing new catalog inventory system

Westlake Porter Public Library in the process of implementing the latest technology when it comes to library inventory management. Under the new system, scheduled to go into service later this month, the barcodes are replaced with radio frequency identification, or RFID, tags.

Competing groups lay claim to recreation pie

The recreation department advertised the Oct. 20 meeting as one of the last chances for public input before a committee begins writing a master plan for the community’s recreation needs for the next five to seven years. Many among the 70 or so who attended made sure their opinions were heard.
