Elected mayor in November 1985, Dennis Clough spent a considerable amount of his annual state of the city address contrasting life in the suburb today compared to when he first took office. The mayor said today’s Westlake holds little resemblance to the Westlake of the mid-1980s.

Green and White Revue this weekend

The 30th annual Green & White Revue will take place on at 7 p.m.. Saturday and at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Westlake High School Performing Arts Center, 27830 Hilliard Blvd. The emcees for the student talent show are seniors Danny Phillip, Emily Lanning and Adam Othman.

Damaged snowblower inspires proposal on newspaper delivery

If adopted as law, the proposal would require newspapers, telephone directories and other printed materials to be delivered at residents’ doors or in locations designed for such deliveries, such as a newspaper slot in a mailbox.
