Law Director John Wheeler said the city will attempt to collect nearly $360,000 in tax abatement dollars it claims were forfeited after the company granted the abatement left town.
The status of the recreation master plan, including a summary of all data collected thus far, will the subject of a public meeting at 7 p.m. Oct. 21 at the Westlake Recreation Center, 28955 Hilliard Blvd. Recreation Director Bob DeMinico said the meeting will be one of the last opportunities for public input before the report is written later this year.

Voting for the law were Ward 1 Councilwoman Lynda Appel, Ward 2 Councilman Nick Nunnari and Ward 4 Councilman Michael O’Donnell. Voting against were Council President Mike Killeen, Ward 3 Councilman Dennis Sullivan, Ward 5 Councilman Ken Brady and Ward 6 Councilman Mark Getsay.
