Rocky River police have identified the man responsible for the shooting death of Michael Macgillis, Jr. on Jan. 22 outside of a Westway Drive home in Rocky River. Another man on the scene was seriously wounded.
The Westshore Enforcement Bureau SWAT Team in cooperation with Cleveveland and Rocky River police attempted to serve an arrest warrant for murder to Donovan Owens, 21, last night on Auburn Avenue in Cleveland, but Owens was not at the residence and is still at large.
The vehicle used in the crime was found at the residence and towed to the Rocky River police department.
Rocky River Police Chief Kelly Stillman asks that anyone with any knowledge of Owens’ whereabouts contact Rocky River police at 440-331-1234 as soon as possible. Owens, who was known by the victims, should be considered armed and extremely dangerous.
