The Cuyahoga Valley and West Shore Model Railroad Club will host its annual Spring Train show on Saturday, April 9th and Sunday, April 10th from Noon until 5:00pm. This is an opportunity to see the operating miniature trains on realistic layouts in HO, O, N, and G scales! Also, visitors will be able to tour the caboose, peruse antique railroad memorabilia, and enter to win a raffle for model train prizes.
The historic 135 year old Olmsted Falls train depot served as the Olmsted Falls railroad station for the Lake Shore and Michigan Southern Railroad, and later as part of the New York Central system. The Model Club has occupied this building since 1977 and opens its doors to the public several times each year. Last year, the Club dedicated the first Ohio Historical Society marker in Olmsted Falls. The depot is located at 25802 Garfield Avenue, alongside the railroad tracks.
