Bay High School will hold its annual alumni soccer game at Bay High School Memorial Stadium at 6 p.m. on Friday. The game will feature the boys varsity soccer team against the Bay High School men’s alumni soccer team.
Sunrise Youth Sports (formerly REM-Tots Soccer) is taking registration for the first session of the fall youth soccer program. The Tiny Tots program, for ages 3-4, is an introduction to soccer, while the Inter/Advanced Tots program, for ages 4-6, is for children with some knowledge of soccer. The 21st annual Classic at Mastick 5K run supporting The Classic at Mastick College Scholarship Fund will be Aug. 14 at the Mastick Woods Picnic Area in the Rocky River Reservation of the Cleveland Metroparks. The event is an excellent preseason tuneup for cross country teams, challenging for seasoned runners and easy for leisurely runners. Only 550 entries will be accepted, so register today. Entry fee is $20. Last year, the event surpassed the $100,000 mark in scholarship awards. The race is once again expected to sell out, and registration will close when that happens.
