The Lake Erie Crushers are set to host open national anthem auditions for the fourth time at All Pro Freight Stadium. Auditions are open to the public and will be held from 4-6 p.m. April 24. Registration will be held at All Pro Freight Stadium, and singers will audition in order of registration. Participants will be asked to sing a part of the anthem (they can choose which part) for a panel of Crushers staff members. Last season, the Crushers selected more than 35 out of 70 audition participants to perform before games. Participants who are selected will be contacted by the Crushers over the course of the season to schedule their performance dates. 39th Annual Phil Bova Baseball Camp
Experience your own spring training with the Phil Bova baseball camp June 18-22. The camp features an outstanding staff with over 200 years of experience; professional, college and high school coaches on hand daily; individual instruction for all age levels; six batting cages in use daily; Competition Day to evaluate campers in throwing, hitting and bunting; games played daily on seven fields; a cap and shirt for every camper; Best Camper plaque awarded in each age group; lunch provided daily; guest speakers who share their expertise; a professional camp photo for each camper; inside demonstration instruction during inclement weather; and a 1:10 ratio of staff to campers.
CAMP SCHEDULE AND INFORMATION:
Our planned daily schedule will feature a morning session and then two sessions in the afternoon. You will then be able to apply what you learned at camp to your games afterward. A typical day will be as follows:
8:15 a.m. Arrive at Westlake baseball field ready to play
11:20 a.m. Lunch provided
12:30 a.m. Back on field for instruction
1 p.m. Instructional age group games
2:30 p.m. Individual instruction or stations
4 p.m. Depart for the day
The camp cost is $230 per camper. There is no registration deadline, but the earlier the better for T-shirt and cap size availability. (There is also a sibling discount for multiple campers from the same family, and a discount for campers who display the Bova Camp sign in front of their house.) Cost includes instruction and lunch for all 5 days, shirt, hat, camp photo and evaluation. What to bring: Glove – Baseball Shoes or Tennis Shoes – Water Bottle – Bat – Practice Pants – Personal Attire (socks, supporters, etc.) PLEASE LABEL ALL OF YOUR EQUIPMENT

Bob-O-Link golf course in Avon is proud to be the first public golf course in the area to introduce the S.N.A.G. (Starting New At Golf) coaching system. It is a fun system of transitioning youths to traditional golf equipment. The intent of the system is to simplify how to play the game of golf. There will be the Demo-Days weekend on April 28-29, from 3-5 p.m. at Bob-O-Links on Rt. 83. Both days are open houses to allow families to see what S.N.A.G. is all about. This for youths age 5-9.
