Nageotte does it again!

Just a couple months after winning her first NCAA Division II women's pole vault national championship (at the indoor championships), Olmsted Falls native and Ashland University senior Katie Nageotte did it again, this time in the NCAA Division II outdoor track and field championships. Nageotte not only won her second national championship, but she broke another Division II pole vault record with her vault of 14-5.25. I'm just so excited! It was really thrilling to accomplish goals that I've had for such a long time considering there was a good period of time I never thought they could become a reality. It really is a testament to the phrase "never give up on your dreams"

“I’m just so excited,” she said. “It was really thrilling to accomplish goals that I’ve had for such a long time, considering there was a good period of time I never thought they could become a reality. It really is a testament to the phrase: ‘Never give up on your dreams.’”
