Fairview Centre hosting ‘Halloween Hay Day’ Saturday

The Fairview Park Business Alliance, the Fairview Centre and the Fairview Park PTA will host Halloween Hay Day at Fairview Center(located at Lorain Road and West 220th Street) from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday.

The day’s festivities include an art/craft show from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.; a mini business expo featuring local businesses; and on-stage entertainment from 1 to 4 p.m. Free hay rides will be available from 3 to 5 p.m. Giant Eagle will be selling hot dogs.

For kids, the highlight will be the PTA Costume Parade (with candy from participating businesses) which leaves Giant Eagle at noon, heading east toward West 214th Street and back to the shopping centre.

Also, Cary Stack, owner of an in-home dog training business, will host a pet costume contest at 4:30 p.m. Saturday in front of the former BlockBuster store. The Fairview Park Fire Chief Bud Williams and Jeanine Minek, longtime chairwoman of SummerFest, will serve as contest judges. The Berea Animal Shelter will bring dogs and cats that are up for adoption.
