Even if you cannot make the trip to Europe to take part in the Olympic festivities, you can still experience a little bit of London right here in your own backyard.
Trish and Rich Koodrich turned their passion for healthy, creative food and their love for international travel into the Picc-A-Deli Cafe in Westlake.
“We’re so different from the average cafe because of our concept,” Trish Koodrich explained. “When you come here, you feel like you are in London. Picc-A-Deli is one of the best-kept secrets in Westlake. We are not a chain. Everything is made fresh daily.”
The restaurant features homemade scones and muffins, daily soup specials and built-to-order salads. Some of the sandwiches on the menu include Balmoral beef with cheddar cheese and horseradish sauce, English Tudor turkey with smoked turkey, English cucumber and honey mustard, and an English country ham wrap with horseradish mustard. The French smoked turkey wrap offers melted Brie and apricot honey mustard, while the Italian chicken sandwich is made with grilled chicken breast, sun-dried tomatoes, mozzarella cheese and pesto mayonnaise. You can also get pub-style fish and chips.
Picc-A-Deli Cafe specializes in customized catering and event planning. Whether it is a business breakfast for 10 people or a wedding reception for 100, they will work within your budget to design a menu that is unique. They can also consult with you on centerpieces, table linens, silverware and glasses, food preparation and serving, tables, tents, valet parking, coat checking, bartending and cleanup.
The cafe has two locations. The main site is at 25022 Center Ridge Road, reached by phone at 440-808-3354. Picc-A-Deli also operates the cafe at Westlake Porter Public Library, 27333 Center Ridge Road.
