Local restaurants dish up fabulous food for Restaurant Week

The dining event of the season, Cleveland Restaurant Week, runs through Nov. 19.

More than 50 locally owned, independent restaurants are cooking up fabulous three-course prix fixe meals for $33, plus tax and tip. Take advantage of this occasion to frequent your favorite restaurant, or use the opportunity to dine at a new establishment that you have been meaning to visit. Here is what some West Side restaurants will be dishing up this week.

Bruno’s Ristorante, 2644 W. 41st St. in Cleveland, invites guests to select any appetizer, any pasta or chicken entree and any dessert from the menu for the $33 prix fixe price. Call 216-961-7987 for reservations.

Don’s Lighthouse, 8905 Lake Ave., is offering an appetizer choice of Don’s chowder, salad, stuffed mushrooms or bruschetta. This will be followed by an entree selection of roasted chicken, steak Oscar, Faroe Island salmon or a Maine lobster tail. Dessert is vanilla bean ice cream, bread pudding, chocolate mousse or fruit sorbet. Phone 216-961-6700.

Begin your meal at the Westlake Hyde Park Prime Steakhouse with a wedge salad or lobster bisque. Entree choices are pan-seared salmon, chicken Milanese or bacon-wrapped twin filets. Jammy Buggars, 15625 Detroit Ave. in Lakewood, is offering soup or salad, followed by a meal of grass-fed 10-ounce strip steak, loaded baked potato, cremini mushrooms, A-1 red wine beurre blanc and broccoli. You can choose dessert from the menu. Phone 216-767-5922.

Dinner at Luxe Kitchen and Lounge, 6605 Detroit Ave., starts with winter squash soup or a salad. Entree selections are stuffed chicken Puccini, bacon-wrapped pork tenderloin, grilled flank steak or spaghetti squash aglio olio with braised vegetables. Roasted pear salad, tuna satay or classic coquilles St. Jacques are the starters being offered at Pier W, 12700 Lake Ave. in Lakewood. Entrees are tandoori shrimp, blue cod a la plancha or Peking duck lo mein. Choose from pumpkin cheesecake or a selection of house-made sorbets for dessert. An appetizer of almond-crusted brie, calamari or chicken and avocado spring rolls is followed by soup or salad at Players, 14523 Madison Ave. in Lakewood. Entree choices are grilled salmon, penne a la vodka, cider-glazed pork tenderloin or truffled macaroni and cheese. Call 216-226-5200.

The Woods, 21919 Center Ridge Road in Rocky River, is offering a complete dinner for two for the $33 prix fixe price. Choose an appetizer of baked artichoke dip, mozzarella sticks, calamari or bruschetta to share. Opt for soup or salad to accompany your meal. Entree choices are spaghetti or rigatoni, chicken Parmigiana, chicken scallopini, half-slab or barbecued baby back ribs, homemade lasagna or ravioli, angel hair primavera or grilled Norwegian king salmon.
