Dazzle your sweetheart with a romantic Valentine’s Day dinner

Let your love light shine this Valentine’s Day. Dazzle your sweetheart with some sweet confections or a romantic night out on the town. Here are a few suggestions.

Bar Cento, 1948 W. 25th St., Cleveland, 216-274-1010: Treat your sweetie to a three-course meal of salad, entree and dessert for $30. Wine pairings are available for $15.

Buca di Beppo, 23575 Detroit Road, Westlake, 440-356-2276: Valentine’s Day is a great reason to visit Buca for a delicious Italian meal for two. Your table awaits. Reservations are accepted.

Bruno’s Ristorante, 2644 W. 41st St., Cleveland, 216-961-7087: There is an Italian saying, “The heart that loves is always young.” Celebrate Valentine’s Day with the Romance of Italy dinner at Bruno’s. The meal begins with Gorgonzola-cheese-stuffed artichokes and four-cheese ravioli in light cream sauce. Entree choices are grilled swordfish or beef filet Italiano, followed by a salad with sparkling wine vinaigrette. Dessert is heart-shaped gelato Valentine. The meal, available on Feb. 14 and Feb. 15, is accompanied by wine pairings for $38 a person, plus tax and tip.

Burntwood Tavern, 19304 Detroit Road, Rocky River, 440-333-6700: Valentine’s Day specials like prime rib and fresh halibut will be offered in addition to the regular menu. After dinner, sit by the fireplace and enjoy the music of Ted Riser.

Create-a-Cake, 17114 Detroit Ave., Lakewood, 216-521-7675: Valentine’s Day cakes are available in all flavors and fillings. Create-a-Cake also offers specialty cakes like cassata with fresh strawberries and Bellini with peach-sparkling wine filling and Italian buttercream icing.

Crocker Park, 189 Crocker Park Blvd., Westlake, 440-871-6880: Take a magical carriage ride around Crocker Park on Valentine’s Day and help raise money for a special cause. Carriage rides are $20 a person, and 30 percent of the proceeds are being donated to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Carriage rides are being offered from 5 to 9 p.m., and depart from guest services at Main Street and Crocker Park Boulevard.

Elmwood Bakery, 15204 Madison Ave., Lakewood, 216-221-4338: Elmwood Bakery has been tempting lovers with sweet Valentine’s Day confections since the 1940s.

Emerald Necklace Inn, 18840 Lorain Road, Fairview Park, 440-333-9100: Your special someone will love a gift certificate for a mini facial, pedicure or massage. The “Pamper Me” overnight stay includes a wonderful breakfast. The Emerald Necklace Inn also offers tea tasting classes for $15 a person, with tea samplings and light refreshments.

Hyde Park, 21 Main St., Westlake, 440-892-4933: Dine at Hyde Park on Valentine’s Day weekend, Feb. 14-16, and get a $25 gift card for a future dinner. Valentine’s features include the three-course Sea and Shore meal ($44.90) and the two-course Early Winter Nights entrees starting at $19.95. The full menu is also available.

Provenance, 11150 East Blvd., Cleveland, 216-707-2600: Enjoy a special Valentine’s Day prix fixe dinner with wine pairings ($76, plus tax and tip). The meal includes winter squash terrine, salad or lobster bisque, grilled swordfish, braised short ribs or roasted chicken breast and a special lover’s dessert for two. The last seating is at 8 p.m.

Wagner’s of Westlake, 30855 Center Ridge Road, Westlake, 440-871-8800Take your honey dancing at the Big Band Brunch on Feb. 16, featuring the music of the Dan Zola Orchestra. The orchestra plays from noon to 3 p.m., with buffet brunch seatings at 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. The menu includes carved roast beef and ham, baked chicken with dressing and gravy, pork, kielbasa and sauerkraut, breakfast items and a waffle station. The cost is $29.95 a person, plus tax. Call ahead for reservations.
