Rep. Jim Renacci will discuss issues affecting Cuyahoga County and the entire nation at 7 p.m. Thursday night at Fairview Park City Hall, 20777 Lorain Road.
The appearance by the Wadsworth Republican is part of the regular series of town hall meetings organized by Cuyahoga County District 1 Councilman Dave Greenspan.
First elected in 2010, Renacci defeated Democratic incumbent Betty Sutton last November in a race for a redrawn 16th District. Within Cuyahoga County, however, Sutton received the majority of votes – 52.9 percent to Renacci’s 47.1 percent.
In the Westshore, the district includes Westlake, North Olmsted, Fairview Park, Olmsted Falls, Olmsted Township and part of Rocky River. It extends south, through Strongsville to Wadsworth and Wooster. The district includes all of Wayne County and sections of five other counties.
Last month, Renacci was appointed to the House Ways and Means Committee, the House’s chief tax-writing committee.
