Cleveland Browns safety T.J. Ward will be on hand to mark the grand opening of the new GetGo gas station and convenience store in Westlake from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Friday afternoon.

Located at the northeast corner of Center Ridge and Columbia roads, the store, which opened Nov. 11, will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9 a.m. Thursday. The new GetGo features 16 fuel pumps and a car wash, branded WetGo. Hours will be 5:30 a.m. to 2 a.m. seven days a week.

Food offerings will include sub sandwiches, onions rings, breakfast sandwiches, fruit smoothies and coffee espressos.

The GetGo store will also offer free WiFi, free air to inflate tires and a surcharge-free ATM, company officials said in a release.

The nearby GetGo station at Center Ridge Road and Dover Center roads closed Nov. 10. Westlake planning department officials had been told the existing store would be closed when the new one opens.

GetGo gas stations and stores are owned and operated by Giant Eagle. Consumers who have signed up for Giant Eagle’s Advantage Card can save money on fuel purchases based on the dollar amount of groceries they have purchased.
