BAY PROGRAM GETS GRANT AGAIN: Officials from the Ohio department of Natural Resources have again awarded the Bay Village School District grant funds used for a boating education program.
ODNR awarded $10,063.57 to the schools for the program. It is one of 25  grants awarded by the state. The grants ranged from $2,236 to $30,000 and are used to support local jobs in their communities and provide boating safety education programs. The state provides the funding for the program through a share of the state motor fuel tax, watercraft registration and titling fees and funding from the United States Coast Guard. The state division of watercraft is mandated state law to provide boating education programs.
