Russ Ezolt, an attorney and critic of the current school board, has submitted his ballot petitions. Ezolt told West Life that he plans to run on a slate with two other candidates, who he did not name. He said a press release announcing his slate would be issued in the near future.
Ted Strickland touched on most of the themes traditionally championed by the Democratic Party during a talk to the West Shore Democrats July 21. Working families, public schools and labor interests were among the causes he promised to fight for if elected to the U.S. Senate in 2016.
The Westlake City Schools appointed three new administrators in recent weeks. The most recent move was the naming of former Fairview High School Principal Brady Sheets at the district’s director of human resources.
One of Dover’s most famous sons, Jack Miner, returns to town Saturday in the person of Eric Hansen, who will portray the noted conservationist in a one-man show at 8 p.m. Saturday at Clague Playhouse, 1371 Clague Road. Tickets cost $10, with proceeds from the benefit going toward the Westlake Historical Society and Clague Playhouse.
