One area the two candidates agreed on was the need better train Ohio workers for the jobs of tomorrow. Nan Baker said a major focus of her next term would be workforce and training initiatives. “We do not have the skills in the state to fill the jobs that are there,” she said. Todd LeVeck said Ohio needs to prove to employers that qualified workers are ready to fill open jobs. The state needs to invest more in education to do this, he added.
