The Burntwood Tavern in Rocky River is featuring a soft shell crab promotion through June 24.
Lunch and dinner patrons can enjoy crab corn chowder ($5) or crab cakes with Pommeroy mustard sauce ($11) as an appetizer. Cajun-fried soft shell crab is served on top of a Caesar salad ($11 for lunch, $12 for dinner), or a soft shell crab po’boy sandwich with pickled onions and remoulade sauce ($11). Crab cakes are served with steamed red skin potatoes and French green beans ($14 for lunch, $22 for dinner). Cajun-fried soft shell crabs are topped with remoulade and served with potatoes and green beans ($12 at lunch, $22 for dinner). Surf and turf is an 8-ounce filet paired with your choice of a crab cake or Cajun-fried soft shell crab ($32 at dinner only). The featured dessert is fresh blueberry cobbler served warm and topped with vanilla bean ice cream ($2.50). A black tea and vodka Collins is a refreshing summer libation on the outdoor patio.

Treat Dad to a hearty Father’s Day buffet at Wagner’s of Westlake on June 16. The meal, served from 1 to 5 p.m., will feature pulled pork, ribs and wings, stuffed pork chops, burgers and dogs, fried chicken, Italian sausage with peppers and onions and picnic sides like baked beans, corn on the cob and fruit salad. To celebrate the release of its new pub exclusive, Truth, Justice and the American Ale, Great Lakes Brewing Co. is throwing a super-powered comic-book-themed party on June 18 at 6 p.m. Honor Cleveland’s comic book heritage and get a first taste of this heroically hopped beer. A $10 ticket includes light appetizers. Carol and John’s Comic Book Shop will be there with a booth full of merchandise. There will be a superhero costume contest with prizes. Rust Belt Monster Collective will create custom artwork live at the event, and their unique pieces will be available for sale. Pub brewer Joel Warger will answer your beer questions and dazzle you with his comic-book knowledge.

An R&B Cellars wine dinner is planned for the garden at Georgetown restaurant, 18515 Detroit Road in Lakewood, at 6 p.m. on June 25.
Dinner begins with an appetizer of salmon gravlax, asparagus mousse, crostini and pickled onion salad. The second course is pepper-seared tuna, followed by bacon- and horseradish-wrapped lamb loin, grilled vegetable lasagna and Gorgonzola cheese beignets. Dessert is raspberry sponge cake with raspberry cream and minted balsamic fresh raspberries.
