WESTSHORE – The “Year of Vibrant Green Space” is the theme for the Earth Day Coalition’s 28th Annual EarthFest, to take place from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, April 22 at the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds on Bagley Road in Berea.
Entertainment and 270 exhibits on environmental issues and sustainability are featured at the event. Midwest EVOLVE will offer test drives of electric vehicles. The Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District will collect expired prescription medicine and exchanging mercury thermometers for digital thermometers at Gate 5 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Presented and organized by Earth Day Coalition since 1990, EarthFest is Ohio’s largest environmental education event and the longest running Earth Day celebration in the nation.
Tickets cost $4 for those ages 2-11 and $8 ages for those 12 and older. Children 2 and under will be admitted for free. For more information, visit www.earthdaycoalition.org.
