Former Magnificat employee turns self in

Rocky River

Former Magnificat High School employee Sean Szaller, wanted on charges of gross sexual imposition, turned himself in to Rocky River police on Dec. 23.

According to police detective Tracey Hill, Szaller, accompanied by his lawyer, arrived at the station at 7:30 a.m. The 31 year old will now face a grand jury in Cuyahoga County Court. The date of his appearance has yet to be determined.

Szaller worked at the Catholic girls’ high school from May of 2011, until August 2013, when he told school administrators that he was leaving to pursue his acting career full-time in New York City. He did not teach at the school, serving as theater manager for Magnificat’s Center for Performing Arts.

Currently living out of state, Szaller was instructed by police to come back to Ohio and turn himself in.

Police arrest warrants state that Szaller is accused of a November incident involving inappropriate physical contact between himself and a 16-year-old student after school hours in the parking lot.
