Willard Daggett, a nationally known consultant on reforming education for the 21st century, will give a presentation to parents at 7 p.m. Monday in the auditorium at Fairview High School.
Holly Thomas and Jacob Cox have been boyfriend and girlfriend since the fifth grade. That fact alone would have made given significant meaning to the couple’s selection by their classmates as homecoming king and queen at Westlake High School.
The open house was the public’s first chance to see the Red Brick Community Room, located just off the high school’s rotunda. The main doorway of the room, which will host art exhibits, consists of an arch made from bricks preserved from the community’s first schoolhouse, which stood on Dover Center Road from 1909 to 2010.
The three persons vying for two seats on the Fairview Park City Board of Education took part in a congenial discussion of educational issues Thursday night at a candidates forum sponsored by the League of Women Voters and held at City Hall.
