Private eye Milan Jacovich
doesn’t horse around in new novel
Did wealthy horse owner/driver Glenn Gallagher make one too many enemies in the competitive racing world at North Coast Downs? Or did someone involved with Gallagher’s investment firm want him dead?
Those are the questions Cleveland-based private investigator Milan Jacovich and his new associate, Kevin “K.O.” O’Bannion, must answer in Les Roberts’ new novel, “Win, Place, or Die.” The book was co-written with Dan Kennedy.
The investigation take Jacovich and O’Bannion behind the scenes at a harness racing track, where they find no shortage of odd characters, suspicious activities and danger.
Roberts will sign copies of “Win, Place, or Die” at 1 p.m. Saturday at Barnes & Noble Booksellers at Crocker Park in Westlake.
Roberts is the author of 17 mystery novels featuring Jacovich, as well as 11 other books of fiction. The Chicago native came to mystery writing after a 24-year career in Hollywood writing and producing television shows.
