This winter the North Olmsted Hockey Club (NOHC) had another productive season, with two of its teams winning Cleveland Suburban Hockey League playoff titles. Both the Squirt A2 and Squirt B3 teams won the 2012-2013 playoff championships in their respective divisions.
This season’s winners continue a long tradition of championship youth hockey in North Olmsted.
“We are especially proud of all our teams and all they have accomplished this season,” NOHC President Roger Galippo said. “I am also happy with the success of our club at all levels.”
The program could not achieve and maintain the level of success it has seen in the last few seasons – the NOHC Pee Wee A1 and Bantam A3 teams won the 2011-2012 division championships, with the Bantam A3 team also winning the 2011-2012 playoff title – without dedication from the top of the organization all the way down to the players on the ice.
“We have a great group of coaches – at all age levels – that have helped our kids develop into solid hockey players,” NOHC hockey Director Brad Scotten said. “Many of these players are working toward playing hockey at the varsity level.”
