North Olmsted safety forces set 9/11 memorial service

North Olmsted

On Tuesday, the North Olmsted police and fire departments and North Olmsted VFW will hold a memorial service for the firefighters, EMS workers, police officers and citizens who died in the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center buildings on 9/11, and the members of the armed services who have died since.

Members of North Olmsted safety forces have held a ceremony each year since 9/11. This year’s memorial will be held at North Olmsted Fire Station #1, 24291 Lorain Road, and is open to anyone who would like to attend. Members of the North Olmsted fire and police departments, as well as VFW members, will be present. The ceremony will be from 9:45 to 10:15 a.m. It includes a short prayer service by the North Olmsted VFW and a remembrance of those who died in the attacks on America and the soldiers who have died in the wars since.
