Lutheran West High School, in Rocky River, invites the Greater Cleveland community to a family celebration to be held in conjunction with Lutheran West’s first home football game. The Unveiling Bash & BBQ will be Aug. 31, and will highlight the dedication of the school’s new football and baseball fields, as well as the unveiling of the school’s capital campaign. Evening festivities begin at 4:30 p.m., prior to the start of the football game, and will include live music and a country barbecue. The evening will wrap up with a fireworks grand finale after the game. The Unveiling Bash & BBQ opens the public component of Lutheran West’s $5 million “Unleash the Spirit” capital campaign, the second major capital campaign launched by the school within the past 10 years. The building campaign includes three phases. Phase One includes installation of new football field and baseball infield synthetic field turf and creation of a Center for the Performing Arts. Phase Two will renovate the building exterior and administrative offices. Phase Three will add significant classroom square footage to the academic wing. All three phases include continued enhancements to Lutheran West’s Honors Academy. Artistic renderings of all three phases will be on display at the Unveiling Bash & BBQ.
