Students and staff were evacuated from Rocky River High School this morning after a water bomb threat was called into the school. The students and staff members were escorted to St. Christopher School or loaded onto buses.
The high school was searched by the Rocky River Police Department and it was determined that the threat was not credible.
Once the building was cleared. students and staff returned and classes resumed. Students were provided with information regarding the situation and guidedance counselors were made available as needed.
Working with the Rocky River Police, the city school district will follow-up with a full investigation, with possible criminal proceedings.
A community meeting to share information and answer questions will be held at the high school auditorium tonight at 7 p.m.
