The Westlake-Westshore Arts Council and Clague Playhouse have teamed up on a benefit Saturday night at Wagner’s Country Inn, 30855 Center Ridge Road.
“A Cabaret Night” will feature former Plain Dealer columnist Dick Feagler reading some of his favorite stories from his numerous books, said Richard Lynch, membership chairman at Clague Playhouse.
Westlake resident Greg Violand, a producer and entertainer, will emcee the event. His wife, Maryann Nagel, who has appeared in several movies and soap operas, will also perform. Other entertainment includes vocalists Tina D. Stump, Dyan Beder, Darryl Lewis and Paul Floriano.
“The purpose of this (event) is for each organization to do some programming,” said Marge Widmar, president of the Westlake-Westshore Arts Council. “To have two arts organizations in Westlake working together is good.”
Lynch said he hopes the cabaret will become an annual event.
Tickets, which cost $50, include a chicken marsala dinner and an open bar. A silent auction, for which several area artists have donated works, will be part of the night’s fundraising activities.
The event begins with cocktails at 6 p.m. Dinner is at 7, with entertainment beginning at 8.
A limited number of tickets remain for the event. Tickets can be ordered by calling the Westlake-West
